“Blessed be God the Word, who came to his own and his own received him not, for in this way God glorifies the stranger. O God, show us your image in all who come here today, so that we welcome them and you, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

We currently ask that all those who come to in-person liturgy wear a mask. We also encourage all to get vaccinated, including the booster. Currently, children’s liturgy and nursery are suspended until a critical mass of our families tell us they are ready to return to in-person liturgy. You are welcome to bring children of any age and have them sit with you for the entire liturgy. We have a mat in the back of the worship space for little children to sit on the floor, if they wish. Feel free to bring toys, coloring books and snacks. There is also time during our liturgy when you can get up and walk around, and kids are always welcome to be kids at HFASS and don’t have to stay seated and silent the whole time. Even the adults don’t often do that.

The liturgies will continue to be streamed via Facebook Live and Zoom. Our Zoom links and passwords are published weekly in our newsletter. Here’s the link during the season of Advent (PW: ADVENT2021)

If you are looking for a church home, we invite you to visit us for worship, to share in love that is the community of God, and find ways to meaningfully connect. We have an open table where all are invited to receive communion. Childcare is available in the nursery for kids 3 and under. We also have a children’s liturgy during the middle of the main liturgy. Children leave for this portion of the liturgy before the First Reading and return during the Passing of the Peace.

We worship at 5 PM on Sundays at South Broadway Christian Church (23 Lincoln Street). We like to say that we begin liturgy when we feel like everyone is there. So, we usually get going around 5:15.

If you have any questions, please email us. HFASS does not have a central office, but you can leave us a voicemail at 720-263-0547. However, the best way to learn more about our church is to just show up and see for yourself. You can also check our sermon podcast here.

Accessibility

There is a wheelchair ramp on the Ellsworth Avenue side of South Broadway Christian Church by the alley. Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, the accessible bathroom is in the basement. There is a chair lift that leads downstairs, but if you are in a wheelchair, someone will need to carry your chair downstairs for you. If you need assistance, a greeter or staff will be happy to help. We hope to one day have an ADA bathroom on the main level as well. Stay tuned.

Parking

For Sunday evening liturgy and all other church events, free parking is available in two lots off Lincoln (one immediately to the North of the church and one across the street). Look for the parking signs.
